HP Grade 300mm Graphite Electrode Thermal Stability for Smelting
GP - impregnated cutting products. They are made from petroleum coke of coal tar pitch. In addition, in order to achieve a better welding effect, they are additionally impregnated with pitch. It gained its wide popularity in the metal casting industry, in ferroalloy furnaces and electric arc apparatus.
- E - electrode;
- G - graphite;
- P - impregnated;
- HP - for medium power DC arc furnaces.
Each electrode is supplied with a nipple. At the request of the customer, the nipples can be supplied separately from the electrodes or in addition to the set. Electrodes with a diameter of 75 to 200 mm inclusive and nipples for them are made with a cylindrical thread, and electrodes with a diameter of 250 mm or more and nipples for them are made with a tapered thread.
In order to eliminate the unwinding of the conical nipple joint during vibration of the electrodes in the furnace, the nipples to the electrodes can be made with grooves and equipped with stopper plugs or stopper paste.
