Graphite Electrode UHP HP RP 300mm 400mm 450mm 500mm with Nipple for Steel Melting Eaf
Description:
Graphite electrodes are a type of conductive material made from high-purity graphite. They possess excellent electrical conductivity and chemical stability.Graphite electrodes are mainly made from petroleum coke and needle coke as raw materials, with coal tar asphalt as the binder. They are produced through processes such as calcination, batching, mixing, molding, baking, graphitization, and machining. They are conductors that are heated and melted by an electric arc in an electric arc furnace to release electrical energy. Depending on their quality indicators, they can be classified as RP graphite electrode, HP graphite electrode, and UHP graphite electrode.
Our graphite electrodes has the following feature:
1. Lower electric resistivity, good electric and heat conductivity;
2. High mechanical strength under high temperature;
3. High resistance to thermal shock and mechanical vibration;
4. Lower ash content;
5. According to the customer's feedback information, our electrodes used in EAF/LF with the pretty lower consumption per ton steel.
Graphite electrode, mainly from the domestic petroleum coke and imported needle coke, is widely used in electric arc furnace,ladle furnace, submerged arc electric furnace for theproduction of alloy steel, metal and nonmetallic materials.

Production Application:
- Core application in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking (accounting for over 70% of global consumption): Conduct electricity to generate high-temperature electric arcs for melting scrap steel, producing construction steel, automotive steel and specialty steel
- Facilitate non-ferrous metal smelting: Smelt metals such as copper, nickel and lead; also used in vacuum remelting of refractory metals like titanium to achieve purification and uniform composition
- Produce key industrial materials: Manufacture metallurgical-grade silicon, polysilicon (for solar energy/semiconductors), as well as phosphorus and ferroalloys in submerged arc furnaces
- Serve the electrochemical industry: Act as anodes in electrolytic refining of metals like copper and gold for purification, or as current collectors in fuel cells to ensure stable electricity transmission
- Support specialized industries: Assist in high-temperature production of glass/ceramics (reducing energy consumption); also used in laboratory high-temperature experiments and electrochemical analysis
